Perfect spot for our wedding night!
Charming place with a cozy vibe! The owners were super accommodating, even decked out the Garden Room for us since we booked late. The full English breakfast was delicious, and the gardens are lovely for wandering around. A minor issue, shared bathrooms can get busy during peak times. But it didn’t ruin our stay at all!

The charming decor and homely atmosphere made me feel welcome. The communal areas were clean and relaxing, providing beautiful views of the surrounding countryside, which was easily accessible for someone my age.
More grab bars in the bathroom would be helpful.

great location but modest amenities
The location by the canal is picturesque and perfect for exploring the Peak District. I appreciated having a separate entrance to the lovely garden room, which made my stay feel more private and exclusive.
The amenities in the room could use some updates to feel more contemporary.

The location was ideal for visiting family, with stunning views that made the interior feel wonderfully rural. The guest house is adorned with charming period features and offers a lovely garden. Breakfast included plenty of delicious options, including home-made bread, and the hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming. it would have been great to have a bit more variety in the breakfast menu and perhaps some updates to the furniture in the rooms.

The decor has a charming blend of rustic and contemporary styles, making the space feel cozy. Stunning views of the neighboring countryside add a serene touch to the experience, particularly from the communal areas.
Our triple room offered only two towels, which felt a tad insufficient for three guests. Dining areas are packed with various ornaments, giving a cluttered feel, and many tables seemed better suited for larger groups. Breakfast orders were occasionally mixed up due to a lack of order-taking tools, and the room we used was on the chilly side, making for a less than comfortable sleep. Plus, hauling bags up two flights of steep stairs wasn’t exactly a highlight of our stay.

I stayed in a spacious, clean double room with a private bathroom. Super comfy bed, and it had all the essentials like tea/coffee facilities and a TV. The furniture fit the vibe of the place nicely. Free parking was a plus! Plus, the views from the room were really nice, and it was close to a canal for a stroll. had a great stay!

The stay was adequate for a business trip. I was in a clean and spacious room that included a comfortable double bed along with two single beds, which was perfect for my needs. The breakfast had good options, but I wished there were more choices for a lighter breakfast. The location had lovely views and convenient access to the nearby attractions, making it a pleasant backdrop for my stay.

A cozy vibe wrapped around the décor, making it feel like a home away from home. The cooked breakfast had a nice touch of flavor, a pleasant way to kickstart the day.
The car park isn't as ample as one might expect, leading to some tricky maneuvering. Arriving felt a bit like a game of patience, with a 10-minute wait at the door despite prearranging times. Two flights of stairs to the rooms—there's no lift, which can be a hassle if you're hauling luggage. Noise can creep in at night, especially with late-night occupants, making the early hours less peaceful. the 'bathroom' situation resembles a converted cupboard, feeling more cramped than a typical setup.
